Skin Care Products Review At CVS : On The Go Review Part 1

The Next Video Is Here www.youtube.com This link here sums up which brands works best for your skin type. Check it out if you are a little confused. www.xanga.com Sorry for the shaky camera, this is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this. Granted, I received lots of odd stares, but I assured them that I was not bonkers…kind of.. So this On The Go Review takes place at CVS. I figured almost every part of the state has CVS, and you can find most of these products at any major drugstores and such. I will be doing a Walgreens, Target, Mac, Sephora and more On The Go Review in the future. Sample of “Pura Suadade (Nova Bossa Nova)” by Fantastic Plastic Machine Royalty Free Song

just so everyone knows – this video is misleading. Aveeno DOES test on animals. It’s owned by johnson and johnson. Please research before you buy!!

    Oh… Interesting!
I might have to do more research on it.
    Thank you!

i thought i was sensitive to spf products but i wasn’t. it really depends on what main ingredients each sunscreen has. different active ingredient to each sunscreen there is. without sunscreen you cannot avoid premature skin ageing and increased risk of skin cancer. try non comedogenic sunscreens with spf 30+ at least. because anything less than that you have to reapply every 3-4 hours during the day to get the effect.

some people react badly to cetaphil or aveeno, like me, my skin burned and got reddened for four days straight after one night’s use.

  8. Comments  calamityjj   |  Friday, 05 February 2010 at 9:41 am

yeah strongly agree. I use enzyme peel it does not irritate and exfoliates better.

definitely BHA 2% and enzyme peeling cleansers. i stay away from scrubs with large harsh granules. enzyme peel exfoliates better with no irritation

apricot kernel scrub is a definitely no-no as it increases sensitivity level of your skin.

retinoid is said to be good for acne prevention but only in medicated dose. i suggest you use Paula’s Choice BHA 2% toner instead, because over-the-counter BHA products tend to sting your skin with methols and all the other crap it it. BHA gets deep down into your pores and it is the only good exfoliator for acne prone skin

i use a separate sunscreen apart from my moisturiser – nivea light veil spf30 + or netrogena ultra sheer (the most mattifying product i have ever used with no colouration)

I use dove pro-age night cream with AHA (7%), I am also on prescribed acne medicinal cream called EpiDuo which has retinoids in it (good for wrinkles apart from acne prevention)

BUT always use good sunscreen. skin ageing is caused by harsh sun light and lack of moisture mostly.

i wouldn’ t really recommend a cleanser with methol or alcohol in it, these two ingredients do not do anything to your skin but only irritates it.

use retinoid or glycolic acid (AHA). they have been proven to lighten scars. estheticians recommend hydoquinone, and it is the only medically proven ingredient that lightens skin but there are concerns regarding this product.. people use acne medicine called differin in a long term period to benefit from its wrinkle reduction and skin lightening properties.

people react differently to ingredients, i guess she should have pointed out what active ingredients in moisturisers there are and how they work. mineral oil may not be favoured by people since it is petroleum jelly. but it is non comedogenic, like you put on vaseline and it does not clog pores.

  17. Comments  calamityjj   |  Friday, 05 February 2010 at 3:40 pm

no what she meant was “mineral oil” which is another word for petroleum jelly.

  18. Comments  calamityjj   |  Friday, 05 February 2010 at 3:55 pm

mineral oil is one of the cheap ingredients found in cosmetic products. divided opinions on whether it is comedogenic or not. but i prefer mineral oil based product than shea butter since cetaphil and aveeno both literally burned my sensitive skin.

avoid apricot kernel scrub since it is too harsh for your skin!
